Beaverhill Motel
Reid faced the huge challenge of gutting and renovating this old, shabby motel which was plagued with black mould and ready to be condemned. We removed the flat roof, giving the eyesore a more architectural look. A house that was unfit for living got the same treatment. We also added on an office attached to the dwelling unit.
Not only did we turn this out-dated structure into a building more attractive and pleasing to the eye, we also implemented our environmentally-friendly ideas. We insulated the walls twice the regular building standards at R40, installed an electrical system that runs on timers and photocells, ran 3.5 kilometres of half-inch pipe fed by 96% complete combustion boilers, put in curbs made of recycled tires, and more.
