Construction Administrator
Duties:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from initiation to completion.
- Acts as a liaison and coordinates administrative activities between field management, other departments, customers, vendors, subcontracts, and other parties including regulatory and municipal/provincial agencies and counties
- Negotiate prices and maintain good working relationships with sub-trades and vendors.
- Procure materials, labour and equipment as well as third-party subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress and identify any potential risks or issues.
Schedule and participate in meetings with team and client and maintain regular communication.
- Oversee construction contract administration to ensure contract document requirements are met and maintained.
- Provide administrative support to the office manager, project manager, general contractors and other departments.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails in a professional manner.
Execute clerical and general office duties
- Stay up-do-date with industry laws and standards through research and participation in various events offered through the Canadian Home Builders Association and other industry-related organizations.
- This position is not inclusive and may include various administrative duties as required.
- BONUS: Social media and content creation experience considered an asset
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in an administrative role in the residential construction industry.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- Prior knowledge of BuilderTrend software an asset.
- Working knowledge of Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat.
- Highly organized and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
