Making your home yours again after major loss
It's drilled into us at a young age: what to do in case of a fire. Make an escape plan. Practice fire drills with your family and ensure everyone knows how to get out safely. But after the home fire-- what happens next?
Fire loss is an unexpected and devastating way to lose a home. It's an unfortunate circumstance that brings us together with many of our clients.
Overwhelmed. That's the obvious initial feeling when large loss occurs. Fortunately, we have a team of home restoration experts with decades of experience, whose genuine compassion and proficiency helps put our clients at ease when rebuilding damaged homes.
The first step is to inform your insurance company. After you've filed your claim, the next step is to locate a home restoration professional. While your insurance company may recommend a builder, you still have the option to choose your own. Gentry Home Builders has been fortunate enough to be chosen as a preferred contractor for certain insurance companies you may already be familiar with. Our experts will come to your site to assess the damage, and put together a cost of what it will take to rebuild
You will need to find a safe place for you and your family to live while demolition and construction take place. Depending on the extent of damage, restoring your home could take a while. In many instances, your insurance company will help you cover the costs of finding a place to stay.
While your home is getting restored, you will be working with your insurance provider and your home builder. During the entire process, we make sure our clients are informed and are there to answer any questions or concerns along the way.
Once the process is complete and you're handed back your keys, you can call your home yours again.
Overwhelmed. That's what our clients feel when they step back into their restored homes again after construction is complete. But this time, it's for the good. Each and every one of our clients who has experienced fire loss have been extremely pleased with the outcome of their home rebuild.
